Well, first off I am a 24 yr old single mom. I am single by location. We are both in the US Army and currently have separate locations. :(
My daughter is 15 wks old. And is a doll. I have practised Attachment Parenting since she was but a glint in my eye. I just didn't know that was what it was called until I started reading some of Dr. Sears literature. Awesome! Surprisingly enough, I was reading him when he was the Pediatrician in Parent magazine. I mean these magazines go waaaay back. Yep, I'm one of those people who hate throwing away magazines! I try to pass them on to friends when I'm done...
I am currently breastfeeding my daughter, Maya!
I wear her when we go out. Ergo baby carrier is awesome. In fact she took her first plane trip when she was 10 days old to go see her Daddy. She stayed asleep the whole time in the carrier until it was time to nurse. And my back was fine!
I had an all-natural deliver at a birthing center with an excellent mid-wife.
We use all-natural and Eco-friendly items when possible. This includes spending countless hours on the web looking for home remedies.
I am all about a good deal.
We co-sleep. Well, we have a co-sleeper, but currently we are bed-sharing.
So one might wonder, how does attachment parenting work when you are in the Army and are separated 12 hrs a day?
That is what this blog is all about. My adventures as an AP while serving in the US Army. I almost wish I had started this blog while I was pregnant, and I had to argue with the Daddy about baby carriers! He hated the idea! Or when I started breastfeeding and came down with Mastitis and a MERCA Staph infection in the abscess! Talk about some pain!
But, I can always fill you in on those later!
